DISCLAIMER: I'm not down with theft.

"But M-J," you say, "it's only love songs tonight!"

Still not cool... though ridiculously catchy.

;)

Enjoy!

Tunesday 22nd April, 2014:Popcaan Mashup - Lucas DiPasquale

Hola people! Hope you've enjoyed a great Easter weekend, and hopefully today's video will help make going back to work/school today even the tiniest squish easier.

Quick breakdown. Popcaan: Jamaican dancehall artist. Lucas DiPasquale: Not Popcaan. DiPasquale however is all kinds of smooth with his mashup of some of Popcaan's songs. From the moment he starts singing, you're sat there looking kind of like "O_o." Basically the hashtag #nailedit 100% applies here.

Would say "Enjoy," but that's pretty much automatic I think!

Until next time...

Those aren't the words... Tunesday 15th April, 2014: Sesame Street Theme Song - Jimmy Fallon, Sesame Street, & The Roots

"To where the air is cleeeeean," are definitely not the right lyrics to the Sesame Street theme song, but are also definitely the words I belted out this morning while watching today's Tunesday choice. Going to go with my having lived in China for a year as the cause for that slip-up.

Now you may have been thinking that this is a strange pick for a Tunesday post, but that would also indicate that you don't know me, so thanks for checking out the website! In all honesty, this was not the song I had originally intended to go with -that was Mali Music's "Beautiful," however it ties in so well with what we do over at OrangeMouth, that I conceded it to that blog for its Tunesday post. Check it out here.

Sesame Street was easily one of my favourite shows growing up. I would get upset if we got home from school too late to watch it for probably a little longer than is acceptable (so last week). Now that I'm [claiming to be] a grown-up, the days of watching Sesame Street are far behind me... I've subscribed to their Youtube channel. It is a perfect mixture of clips you grew up on, and skits and shorts from now. Make sure you have copious amounts of free time before you check out their channel!

As for Jimmy Fallon! Love this dude! He's been awesome since SNL, but has really come into his own since being on late night. The Tonight Show has been taken to an entirely new level of hilarity. Hmmmm, starting to sound proper old now, gonna stop while I'm behind.

TLDR: Subscribe to the Sesame Street and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Youtube channels. #SOworthit

The combination of Jimmy Fallon, The Roots, and Sesame Street is a day making game changer, enjoy! (:

Until next time...

Tunesday 8th April, 2014: Gracious - Ben Howard

For some reason, I keep stumbling upon songs on Monday that become Tunesday picks!

While watching some old episodes of a show potentially too embarrassing to mention here (we all have secrets ), I heard this song and looked it up. Considering that one of the lines is "Gracious goes the ghost of you," this song is appropriately hauntingly melodic.

Until next time...
